This page is used to update inventory minimums. Minimums can be imported from a CSV (comma separated value) file and will overwrite the existing minimums for your location.
The import process uses the same format as the Export Minimums file. The first row contains the column headers
NABCA,StoreMinimum,Description,MetricSize,SuppressMinimumRecalc
After exporting minimums, you can make any necessary changes to the minimums and then save the file for import. The
NABCA column requires a valid NABCA code that has been added to your store. The Description and MetricSize columns
from the export are included for reference only and the values in these columns are ignored during the import process.
(Please note that the columns must still exist for the import.) The SuppressMinimumRecalc column is used to mark items
as either 'Yes' for a suppressed minimum recalculation (to do so, you must also enter 0 for the StoreMinimumColumn) or
with a blank value for a non-suppressed minimum. If the minimum is not suppressed, the StoreMinimum column must have
a positive integer value for the new store minimum (between 1 and 99999).
IMPORTANT: Field values should not be contained in quotation marks. (e.g. The NABCA field should be 11296 and NOT "11296")
The page has this warning:
WARNING: Any values imported using the Import Minimums tool will overwrite your existing minimums. Overwritten
values cannot be recovered. Please ensure that the file you are importing has good values for your store minimums.
Please ensure that you are only importing good values, because prior minimums cannot be recovered.
When you click on Import Minimums, you will be asked this question:
Existing minimums will be overwritten. Are you sure you want to proceed?
Please select OK only if you are sure the file you are importing is correct,
this will import your new minimums.
After importing a successful file, you will receive the following message. You will also be notified of any
lines in the minimums file that could not be imported.
Example import results:
Updated 5 minimums. The following minimums were unable to be updated: Item 5136 had requested minimum of 0 - value must be a positive integer. To suppress the minimum for item 10805, the entered minimum must be 0 and the suppress minimum column must read 'Yes'. The values entered were not valid in this line: 11058,0,MACNAUGHTON CANADIAN,1750,No Item 11297 had requested minimum of -2 - value must be a positive integer. Could not set minimum for NABCA 65257 this item is not in your store inventory. The values entered were not valid in this line: A,B,C,D, Click here to View Updated Minimums
You do not have to update all minimums when you import, only the NABCA codes in the file will be updated. Other NABCA codes in your store inventory will remain at their current minimum value if they do not appear in the file. The number of minimums updated will be listed at the top of the message followed by any errors had by the import. NABCA codes that had an error in the imported file will not have their minimums changed, the previous minimum will be maintained. Clicking on the Click here to View Updated Minimums link will allow you to view the inventory minimums set for your store.
